The hospital lost a rare doctor in you, Dr. Harper, but the way administrators in any profession see it, your kind of people — with morals — just cause trouble. It’s far easier to dismiss a person of conscience than it is to hear them out, sadly, or worse, respect them. Not all, only the ones who never figured out why they got into the profession in the first place.

Did you know they even hate white professionals of conscience? So ‘don’t feel so all alone’ as the song goes.

As for the resident — I’d hate to ever need being treated by her — might be catching, what she has — though hope she learned something from you.
